5.2.1 Motor: Disconnected motor

An error message as shown in the picture would appear when the motor is disconnect from its power supply.

Give a firm push onto the power plug to ensure it is inserted properly into the socket.

Two options are available on the error message:

"Try again" - This option would cause the actuator to go up, and then back down, carrying the cantilever beam with it. This option should not be used especially in the middle of wear testing as it will affect the test data.

"Quit and exit" - This option exits the test interface back to the tribometer's main manu. Use this option to remove the error message. If the motor is running and the wear test is still ongoing, wait till the end of the test before clicking this option so that full data for the test would still be recorded

Before every test, push and ensure the motor's power plug is firmly inserted into the socket.
