  2. As sandpapers come in different sizes, cut them to a strip small enough to be placed on the disk but yet big enough to be handled with your fingers.

  5. The gloves will also protect the user's fingers from damage in the event that the they accidentally come into contact with the rotating disk. (Seen in post-accident picture) The gloves will prevent any debris on the disk from being transferred onto your hand(s) during disk grinding.

    • Preferably using only one hand (since there isn't much space on the disk), place the sandpaper on the outer edge of the disk where the angular velocity is lower and slowly move to the centre of the disk.

    • Do not come into contact with the load cell while grinding as it will activate the data collection and stop the disk after running for the distance it was programmed to, prematurely ending the motor's rotation.

  6. Always repeat from step 3 before doing any grinding.
    • Always repeat from step 3 before doing any grinding.

    • If the motor is started right after collecting results from a previous test, it will not be able to stop unless the load cell is activated and new data is being recorded. Hence, it is important to restart the test interface between every motor run.
